Lake Awoonga is located 30km from Gladstone in Central Queensland, and boasts spectacular lake and mountain views and picturesque waterfalls. Gladstone Area Water Board stock Lake Awoonga with Barramundi and Mangrove Jack for the fishing public. Fishers can help improve the fishing experience by reporting the details of their catch, which will assist in long term monitoring and planning of stocking activities.

LAKE AWOONGA TRACK MY FISH APP

In 2018 Lake Awoonga has its own dedicated app to submit fish.

• Record catches as they occur complete with a glory photo
• Record fish even when signal is low with offline mode (a great way to save battery on the water)
• Record non fishing things such as on the water observations
• App keeps a log of all records that can be checked at any time.

HOW WE USE DATA

Lake Awoonga is capturing data for monitoring purposes and as such your data will be analysed on aggregate. What wont be analysed is your GPS locations, where location is analysed it will be done in 1 square kilometre increments.

HOW WE USE LOCATIONS

Our app doesn’t share any fishing spots, our analysis doesn’t share them and our public reporting doesn’t either. We respect that fishers may choose to not provide locations.

We have over 30 year’s experience in dealing with the most sensitive fishing data. We understand that fishers need to know how their fishery is tracking without compromising their day to day fishing.
